Yamaha is now planning to rejuvenate its Fazer series by implementing some vital updates. We already are aware of the changes that are going to be introduced in the FZ-S series. However, no new colour changes would be introduced in the Fazer series like the company did for FZ-S. Talking about some of the changes being brought about in the New Yamaha Fazer 2012 version, there would be a change in the grab rail of the bike with the new one having a better grip and usability. The company also mentioned that the new grab rail would be strengthening the pillion rider. The new Fazer would also feature a longer and wider pillion seat which hopefully would be giving substantial amount of space to the pillion.
The pilion is not the only part of the bike to be widened with the rear fender also being elongated and lengthened. The move would certainly mean that the bike would look a little less appealing but the loss is reasonable as that would allow the vehicle to protect itself from the huge mud splashing rear tyres. Another one of the more significant change that the bike features is the new chain protector. This would prevent people from getting their clothes damaged by the chain, in case their clothes are too loose.
The new chain protector not only serves the purpose of safety but also gives the bike a stylish and appealing look. The new Yamaha Fazer would be available in the colours of competition white, midnight black, lava red, black cyber green. The new FZ series, on the other hand, would be producing a torque of 13.6 Nm instead of the earlier figure of 14 Nm. The reduction in the torque can be associated as a ploy to improve the mileage of the bike.
