Yamaha Motobot Challenges Valentino Rossi

The nine-time world champion -- Valentino Rossi -- met his electro-mechanical competitor - the Yamaha Motobot and accepted the challenge by leaving his signature on it.

It was the first meeting of Rossi with the Yamaha Motobot that is in making to beat The Doctor on track. We know it sounds a bit weird and unbelievable, however, it is true and here is the video proof. 

The Yamaha Motobot is a highly advanced robot that can ride a motorcycle without any assistance and was kind of a sensation on YouTube when a video if riding the Yamaha YZF-R1M was released. The project was showcased last year at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show as its version 1.0. Yamaha's technical team aims to complete the project by 2017 and expects that soon it will be able to lap a track at Rossi’s pace which will definitely make it the fastest motorcycle riding robot in the world.

Robots are generally developed to specialise in a particular task, so they can surpass the capabilities of a human body for attempting that task.The Yamaha Motobot is no different as it has been developed under the concept of “Beyond Human Capabilities” and the goal of this highly advanced humanoid is already clear. The Doctor also did some laps on the new Yamaha R1M so the team can use the data for the further improvements in the project and the Motobot can also learn more.
