Here's some good news for all those folks who've been itching to get their hands on the BS6-compliant Yamaha MT-15, specifically in the Fluo Vermillion paint scheme. The bike has started reaching dealerships across India. Interested customers can reserve the MT-15 for a token amount of Rs 1,000. In the standard colours (Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue), the bike costs Rs 1,38,900. However, if you'd like to opt for the new Ice Fluo Vermillion livery, Yamaha will charge you just Rs 500 more.

New paint option aside, the BS6 MT-15 looks identical to the older BS4 model. However, it does come with a couple of extra features such as a side stand engine, cut-off switch, and a rear radial tyre.
Performance hasn't taken a dip either, well, not an alarming dip at least. The updated 155cc engine makes 18.5PS at 10,000rpm and 13.9Nm at 8500rpm -- 0.8PS and 0.8Nm less than the BS4 model. It retains the same hardware as before, barring the change in tyre.

The new year also brings changes in the Japanese brand’s expansion plans. It intends to add 100 Blue Square showrooms across India by the end of 2020. These new dealerships will only deal with Yamaha's performance-oriented offerings such as the YZF-R15 V3.0, FZ25, YZF-R3, the FZS range, Ray ZR 125-Fi, and the Fascino 125-Fi.
