Yamaha has already launched its quarter-litre faired machine- R25 in the international market, however, India is still waiting for the bike. Now, we have learnt from a few sources that the company is testing a naked version of the R25, expected to be christened as MT-25.
As per the reports, the upcoming Yamaha MT-25 has been spotted testing during the test runs of the R25. The bike will looks inspired by its siblings MT-125, MT-07 and MT-09, while it is expected to be based on the new R25.
Propelling the Street fighter will be the same 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which also powers the latest faired machine. The fuel injected motor is capable to make 35.bhp of maximum power at 12,000rpm, while the peak torque output goes upto 22.6Nm at 10,000rpm.
Apart from a wild and brutal appearance, the Yamaha MT-25 will get exciting features like inverted front forks, rear monocross suspension, dual disc brakes, fully digital instrumentation and possibly an optional ABS. The bike will be priced slightly lesser than the R25 and might be launched in India as well after the faired machine. So, guys let's wait for the daily purpose superbike first.
