After discontinuing the Ray, Yamaha has also retired its only 100cc motorcycle Crux from the Indian market. The bike was the oldest product of the company and was launched back in the year 2004 to replace the then popular two-stroke RX100 motorcycle. The sales of Crux stood at zero units in the last month and the bike was not showing even average sales for a long time now. For this reason, Yamaha has removed the bike from its Indian fleet and now this automaker has no vehicle in the 100cc commuter space.

However, as the 100cc - 110cc commuter segment is the prime selling segment in India, we are sure that the company will soon come up with a new model for this category. As of now, the 125cc Saluto now becomes the most affordable motorcycle from Yamaha. The bike has done wonders for the company and with its presence, the company’s sales in the respective segment have gone up by five times.

Another model that may do wonders for this manufacturer is 113cc scooter Ray ZR, which was unveiled the at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The product is expected to hit the Indian markets by the mid of this year. The company also showcased the Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP bike at the event and it did manage to attract a good volume of spectators at their pavilion during the Expo. Stay tuned for more updates!
