Apart from the new livery the bike remains unchanged from the standard R15M
Yamaha has launched the R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition, with livery inspired by the MotoGP spec YZR-M1, in India at Rs 1,88,300 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Yamaha R15M Anniversary Edition retains the same styling as the standard R15M variant, with its sharp and edgy body design. What’s new, though, is that it gets wrapped in a special white and red ‘Speed Block’ colour scheme paired with golden alloy wheels. The new livery looks clean, attractive and sporty all at once.
Powering the R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition is the same 155cc liquid-cooled, SOHC engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) producing 18.4PS and 14.2 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The traction control system and quickshifter is exclusive to the R15M and is not available on the standard Yamaha R15 V4.
In terms of features, the R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition carries over all the features from the standard R15M variant. It includes a side stand engine cut-off switch and a fully digital instrument cluster with Yamaha's Y-Connect app and two display modes (Street and Track). This gives customers access to features like lap timer, gear position indicator, call/message alerts, mobile battery status, connection status, average fuel efficiency and last parked location. If that wasn’t enough, you can also view information like instantaneous fuel economy, intake air temperature, Eco indicator, degree of throttle opening and rate of acceleration.
With a price tag of Rs 1,88,300, the R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition demands a premium of Rs 2,000 over the Metallic Grey variant. It rivals the KTM RC 200 which is priced at Rs 2.08 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
