Yamaha R25 and R15 Special MotoGP Editions launched in Indonesia

Yamaha Motor has launched Special MotoGP editions of R15 and R25 in Indonesia. These motorcycles are available in both Movistar and Tech 3 teams’ livery. Where the company is offering 3,000 units of R15 MotoGP edition on sale, the R25 MotoGP edition is limited to just 500 units. These editions are not available in India right now, while the R25 is yet to be launched here. However, the standard R15 V2.0 is available in the Indian Market.
Apart from the new paint scheme and sticker work, not any technical upgradation have been done with the bikes. The special editions have received badges of the official sponsors of their respective team. The Movistar editions are painted in racing Blue along with their alloys and its most highlighted visual is the title sponsor’s logo. Like the MotoGP machine, “Semakin Di Depan” has been written at the bottom of the engine cowl, which means “One Step Ahead”. The Tech 3 editions get a black skin with Monster Energy, Stanley, Motul and DeWalt monikers on it.
Powering the Yamaha R15 V2.0 is a 149.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor is fuel injected and makes 16.8bhp at 8,500rpm along with a peak torque of 15Nm at 7,500rpm. Yamaha R25 is expected to be launched in India within this year and it sports a 249cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine. This high revv engine makes power upto 35.5bhp at 12,000rpm and delivers torque upto 22.6Nm at 10,000rpm.
