Yamaha Ray Precious Edition Launched

Yamaha Motors India has launched a new limited edition of its popular and only automatic scooter Ray, named Yamaha Ray Precious Edition. The new edition gets updated black paint job involving new female specific Pink graphics, and this stunning new avatar of Ray is called the ‘Black n Beauty’. By offering the product in a fresh new glamorous appeal, the company wants to create the buzz among customers. The new Ray Precious Edition will be available at a price of Rs.48,605 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The special edition will be possessed by a few as it is a limited edition and will be available only till the stocks lasts. The engine specs remain unchanged with the same 113cc four stroke single cylinder engine generating a top power of 7bhp at 7500rpm and a torque that punches at 5500rpm accounting for about 8.1Nm. The air cooled unit delivers sufficient power that’s apt for female drivers returning about 45kmpl in the city and around 55kmpl on highway.

We are confident that this variant too with its vibrant black and pink design will highly appeal to our target audiences and help us tap on the festive spirits of the market.”

Yamaha Motor India entered the scooter segment in India in September 2012 with its Yamaha RAY which targeted the young Indian women. The company has undertaken a number of activities in order to attract its target customers and influence sales. The company has expanded its dealer network and improved customer care quality for female customers by appointing more female staff at customer contact points and introducing female customer care program. The company has also developed & launched the Yamaha Female Riding Training Program for female customers who have a concern to ride a scooter or want to obtain a riding license. The company plans to conduct the YFRT programme in various cities across India for women who feel the need to be trained on riding a 2-wheeler.
