According to dealership sources, the Yamaha Ray ZR 125 BS6 has started reaching showrooms. It's offered in two variants: drum and disc, priced at Rs 66,730 and Rs 69,730 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. You can reserve one for yourself for a token amount of Rs 1,000.
It’s powered by a 125cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor makes 8.2PS and 9.7Nm -- 1PS and 1.6Nm more than the previous-gen model using a 113cc mill. Yamaha also claims the new Ray ZR 125 Fi offers 58kmpl, which is around 16 per cent more than before. The scooter features larger 12-inch wheels compared to the 10-inches on the previous model.
The Ray ZR 125 BS6 receives a complete overhaul for 2020. The body panels are a lot sharper than before and the front apron gets faux air scoops and a small windscreen. On the feature front, the scooter comes equipped with LED DRLs, an ACG starter for silent start, start-stop technology, and a side stand engine cut-off feature. The instrument console is fully digital but looks bigger in size compared to the outgoing model.
