Yamaha Motor India has silently removed the FZ-S version 1.0 from the official website and it seems that the company is now planning to discontinue the old models of the FZ series. However, the first model of the range- FZ version 1.0 is still in the product list on the website.
Yamaha Launched the version 2.0 of the FZ series with FI and Blue core technology in June 2014. Earlier, we were believing that the company will replace the old generation models with the new ones. However, it continued all the four products including FZ Ver 1.0, FZ-S Ver 1.0, FZ-FI Ver 2.0 and FZS-FI Ver 2.0 in the market.
The bike that has been removed from the website- Yamaha FZ-S Ver 1.0 was based on the similar platform, shared by the existing FZ Ver 1.0. It is powered by the old-gen 153cc carbureted engine that makes 13.8bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 13.6Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox via a wet multi-plate clutch assembly.
Other key features of the motorcycle include aggressive styling, wide 41mm front telescopic forks, rear monocross suspension, midship muffler, fat tyres, fully digital console and much more.
