Yamaha Motor India is going to unveil the next phase of its journey in India. The company has sent us an invitation for a Press Conference and Party on 7th May, 2015 in Mumbai to celebrate this new chapter. The occasion will be graced by Mr. Masaki Asano, Managing Director and Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales & Marketing of Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd. Title of the invitation is "Prepare to be Fascinated" and it says that Yamaha will unleash a style revolution on the Indian streets. It hints that the company could launch a new vehicle, most propably a scooter, in this event.
Yamaha might launch one of the scooters spotted testing in India, a few months ago. These expected models are D'elight and Nozza Grande, which are premium 114cc and 125cc scooters respectively with retro-modern styling.
Yamaha D'elight was spotted in India in December 2014 which is currently sold in the European markets. It has been bestowed with premium features, chrome and glossy paint scheme, alike the Vespa scooters available in India. It houses a 114cc, air-cooled engine, which makes 7bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 7.6Nm. The scooter weights just 98kg, making it quite nimble for the urban use.
The other expected offering, Yamaha Nozza Grande was spotted in February 2015, which is manufactured and sold in Vietnam. It is a bigger scooter with 125cc, air-cooled, fuel injected engine and a little sportier styling. Its engine generates 8bhp of maximum power and torque upto 9.7Nm. It might get priced near to the Honda Activa 125 and get alloy and front disc brake features optionally.
Now, let's wait and watch the surprise that Yamaha has prepared for us.
