What is the top variant of Classic 350?
The Classic 350’s top variant is called Chrome. It is priced at Rs 2,30,000 (ex-showroom Chennai) and gets an Emerald colour option.
Is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 pickup good?
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 offers decent pickup for its segment, with 0-60kmph taking 6.32 seconds. The torquey nature of the engine along with well-spaced gearing makes it easy to ride at low speeds in higher gears. The Classic 350 0-100kmph pickup time is 22.95 seconds, which isn’t exactly quick. However, what makes the Classic 350 special is the relaxed nature of the engine, making it ideal for laid-back riding in the city or on the highway.
What is the mileage of the Classic 350?
The Classic 350’s real-world tested mileage is 41.93kmpl in the city and 38.46kmpl on the highway. These mileage figures are pretty good for a 350cc bike. The engine produces enough torque at low revs, resulting in effortless city riding. This is one of the reasons why Classic 350 city mileage is better than highway mileage.
Is the Royal Enfield Classic 350 heavy?
At 195kg kerb, the Classic 350 is a heavy bike. You can particularly feel the weight of the Classic 350 when you’re moving it out of a parking lot or when you’re trying to physically manoeuvre the bike over uneven surfaces. It also takes some time to get used to parking the bike using a centre stand. That said, once you start riding, the weight feels easily manageable as the chassis is so nicely balanced. You won’t really feel like you’re riding a heavy bike as long as you keep moving.
Is Classic 350 good for city riding?
The weight of the bike along with the heavy clutch may not be ideal for riding on roads with lots of traffic. But the riding posture is very comfortable, and the engine doesn’t really heat up all that much. With just a little getting used to, you can use Classic 350 for daily rides without much trouble.
Is Classic 350 suitable for long rides?
The Classic 350 is great for long rides as long as you’re willing to cruise on the highways at around 90kmph. That’s the speed at which the Classic feels the most stress-free and refined. The seat is spacious, and the riding position is pretty relaxed, helping you do long rides with ease. Another important aspect to note is that the engine can also do occasional bursts of 110+kmph when pushed.
What are the best Classic 350 features?
Though the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a retro bike, it still gets basic features like an analogue speedometer with a digital screen that shows the fuel level, odometer and trip meter readings, service reminder and clock.
The tripper navigation pod is available as standard on the Dark and Chrome variants while the rest of the variants get it as an accessory.
The Redditch and Halcyon variants get single-channel ABS while the rest of the variants get dual-channel ABS as standard.
The USB charging port is available as standard for all the variants. The retro roadster gets all LED lighting.
The retro roadster gets all LED lighting.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 best accessories with price:
The best Classic 350 accessories for city rides would be a basic crash guard and a pillion backrest (if you’re riding with one often). The cheapest official crash guard for Classic 350 is the Black Trapezium or Octagon crash guard, priced at Rs 2,950. Both are made out of steel tubes with dual powder coating for rust resistance. The pillion backrest is priced at Rs 1,050. This significantly improves the comfort of the pillion rider by supporting the lower back. It also gives the pillion a sense of safety as it prevents them from sliding back while accelerating hard.
Is the Classic 350 worth buying?
If you’re looking for a retro bike that looks properly old-school but feels every bit modern while riding, the Classic 350 is one of the best 350cc bikes in India. Its chilled-out nature inspires you to enjoy the journey rather than the destination.
What is the best alternative to the Classic 350?
The best alternative to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the Jawa 350. It also looks equally retro-gorgeous and comes with a variety of colour schemes, some even with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. While it looks super retro, it offers better performance than the Classic 350 but isn’t as comfortable as the Classic. If you don’t mind it and are looking for a retro bike that is fairly quick, the Jawa 350 is a great bike to buy.

Classic 350 Expert Review
Overview
Having dominated the sub-400cc classic motorcycle segment for over 12 years, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 was completely overhauled in 2021. This iconic model has long been the cornerstone of the Royal Enfield lineup, and the 2024 update breathed new life into it.
Design
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 has a similar look as the iconic Royal Enfield Bullet 350. But the brand has made a few subtle changes here and there to make it stand out. The bike features LED lighting and a split-seat setup. Royal Enfield has managed to make the bike look a lot more premium with their usage of Chrome detailings on the top-of-the-line colour schemes.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The Classic 350 is the second motorcycle from Royal Enfield to get the new-generation 349cc J-Series engine. Paired with a 5-speed gearbox, this single-cylinder, air-cooled, 349cc engine produces 20.2PS at 6,100 rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm.
The engine refinement is really good and is the first thing you would notice when riding the Classic. The bike offers smooth performance. The vibrations are minimal, and only noticeable when riding at higher speeds. The bike also has a sharper throttle response. It also offers good low and mid-range performance, making commuting more enjoyable and effortless.
The clutch action is lighter, and the 5-speed gearbox functions well with slickgear shifts . The Classic 350 can reach triple-digit speeds, but it is most comfortable cruising around 90kmph. You can expect around 41.93 kmpl of fuel efficiency while riding through city traffic and 38.46 kmpl on open highways (as tested).
Handling & Ride Quality
Although the Classic 350 is slightly towards the heavier side with its kerb weight of 195kg, it feels quite light. The bike feels really agile when maneuvering through city traffic.
The suspension setup has a thick front telescopic fork with a good amount of suspension travel. The bike also gets adjustable spring rates for the dual-sided hydraulic coil springs. As a result, the Classic 350 rides well on uneven surfaces and absorbs bumps and undulations well at lower speeds. However, riders should exercise caution at higher speeds.
Furthermore, the bike has a ground clearance of 170mm which makes journeys through rugged terrains easier.
Comfort
The lowered and slightly curved handlebar of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 has made the riding posture a lot more comfortable. This results in a slightly more upright and comfortable riding posture, enhancing the connection with the bike.
The seats of the Classic 350 are well-cushioned, ensuring good comfort during long highway journeys and short city commutes.
Features
The Classic 350 retains its retro charm while getting a few modern features. It has a semi-digital instrument cluster featuring an LCD screen for the fuel gauge, odometer, and trip meter. Along with this, the updated 2024 variant has brought with it an all-LED lighting setup.
Another unique addition to the new Classic 350 is the optional Royal Enfield Tripper navigation module. Customers can opt for this turn-by-turn navigation unit instead of the standard Royal Enfield badge on the instrument console.
Should you buy
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is ideal if you are looking for a retro-style motorcycle with equally good performance during urban and highway rides. The J-series engine provides a smooth riding experience while maintaining an authentic classic feel, the hallmark of Royal Enfield's previous models. While it may not be perfect in every aspect, it is a nice blend of classic design and modern refinement.
