World's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp recently confirmed that they are developing a more powerful new Karizma ZMR with Erik Buell Racing team. Hero MotoCorp announced that they will use their newly developed 250cc engine in the next version of their fully faired sporty bike. Sakshi, a Telugu daily newspaper has published a picture today in which Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO of the Hero MotoCorp is sitting on a never before seen bike. It is a sporty full faired red bike on which ZMR has been written using the same font style they are using with the current Karizma ZMR. So, is this the new Karizma ZMR? Well, our guess is a big YES!
The bike was also spotted many times testing on road and captured in the images. However, the test mules were mostly covered, making it difficult to figure out the bike. But now the bike has been uncovered in the picture and its fairing shows an impact of the company's new partner Erik Buell Racing on it. The major change is its head-lamp and wind-shield which seems to be inspired by a full sized racing machine, while the other body parts and design is looking almost similar to the current variant even after the changes.
The parts which are untouched are wheels, brake disks, rear view mirrors, fuel tank, exhaust tail pipe and suspension system. Other updates include split pattern seat and clip-on handle bars, which are missing in the current version. Bike's cowls and mudguards have also received updation, thus turning it into a sportier looking bike than the existing version.
The new 250cc engine has been developed with the new partners, which is likely to enhance the performance of the bike, with an expected maximum power output of 25 PS and a peak torque of 22Nm. Expected to be launched by the end of this year, the new Karizma ZMR will have an increased price.
