Two test prototypes of 2014 Piaggio Vespa have been spy captured in the surroundings of Italy's sea town, Forte Dei Marmi. Identity of the one scooters was hidden, however, they couldn't hide the Vespa written on the transmission cover, which helped in figuring out the vehicle. The other scooter which was not covered is looking like the existing model of Vespa LX.
Spy pics are not much clear and most of the pictures only show the rear side of the scooter, however, one can see some changes in the front and rear of the scooter. Shape of the tail-lamp and rear blinkers is different, while the front blinkers look almost similar with sharp corners replacing the round edges.
There are many other trims on the body like a sharp edge instead of a round one, which can be seen in the front apron easily. The beige colour seat and the rear grab rail is similar to the previous variant and headlamp too remains round with a little modification.
As per the Vespa's trend, you can see chrome lining at the edges and the borders of instruments remains still. With the aforementioned changes, the scooter now looks more elegant and muscular.
The prototype seems to be in the final stage of the development and is expected to be shown at the 2013 Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA), Italy, as the new Piaggio Vespa variant.
