- Pricing for the 2019 Dominar 400 remains unchanged at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom).
- [Update: Bajaj Dominar 400 Price Hiked Again]
As per some reports published online, Bajaj had reduced the price of its flagship model, the 2019 Dominar 400, by Rs 3,732. Sceptical of the news, we got in touch with Bajaj officials who confirmed that the Dominar 400’s price hadn’t been slashed. It was just a glitch on the company’s website, which showed a cheaper price. The price of the bike remains identical to its launch pricing of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Even at this price, the 2019 Dominar 400 still remains a value for money proposition for the specs, performance and features it offers.
Launched about a month ago, the 2019 Dominar 400 not only received cosmetic updates, but also got significant mechanical changes. The most important update was for the engine. The 373.3cc liquid-cooled unit now features a DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshaft) setup and the compression ratio has been increased from 11.3:1 to 12.1:1. These changes translate to an increment of 5PS in power over the previous model. Now, the Dominar 400 produces 40PS of power at 8,650rpm. However, the torque remains unchanged at 35Nm, but now arrives at 7,000rpm instead of 6,500rpm. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Another major change in the 2019 Dominar 400 is the inclusion of upside-down forks, a redesigned instrument cluster, new rearview mirrors, new side stand, bungee straps and a redesigned double barrel exhaust system. To know how the 2019 Dominar 400 fares in the real world, read our review here.
