Here’s what else you can buy instead of Suzuki’s updated full faired 150cc motorcycle
Suzuki has launched the all-new 2019 Gixxer SF 150 at Rs 1,09,870 (ex-showroom, Delhi). For 2019, the bike gets a sportier bodywork and a more aggressive riding position courtesy a taller split seat and raised clip-on handlebars. Features include LED headlamp and tail lamp, and a new digital instrument console with a revised layout. These updates have led to a price hike of around Rs 8,000 over the previous Gixxer SF. The new price point opens up doors to a lot of other bikes. We list the other bikes you can buy for the same price as the new Gixxer SF 150.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS (Rs 1.12 lakh):
This 200cc naked motorcycle gets a sophisticated, liquid-cooled motor but misses out on fuel injection. It, however, makes 23.5PS of power and 18.3Nm of torque, the highest output here. It is also the only bike here to get a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it misses out on LED headlamps and a full-digital instrument console. Nonetheless, the Pulsar NS200 is a great option if you are looking for a sporty naked that offers great value for your buck.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V ABS (Rs 1.11 lakh):
The other 200cc motorcycle on this list, the Apache RTR 200 4V comes in two variants: Carburetted and FI. Compared to the NS 200, it gets a simpler air and oil-cooled single cylinder motor that delivers 20.5PS (21PS FI) and 18.1Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. In terms of features, the RTR 200 misses out on an LED headlamp but gets a comprehensive all-digital instrument console that even features a lap timer. It is the only bike in this list to get a dual-channel ABS setup. When it comes to performance, handling and everyday usability, the Apache RTR 200 has it all covered.

Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS (Rs 1.06 lakh):
The largest bike in this list, the Pulsar 220F has also been around the longest. Yet, it continues to sell in good numbers due to the sheer value it offers. Apart from a half fairing, the bike gets a bright halogen projector headlamp, LED tail lamp and a semi-digital instrument console. Its 220cc air and oil-cooled motor delivers 20.93PS and 18.55Nm of torque and gets a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle works well for touring and is affordable to maintain as well. It is the bike to go for if you like the idea of a large bike for less money.
Suzuki Intruder 150 FI ABS (Rs 1.09 lakh):
For roughly the same price as the Gixxer SF, you can get yourself a cruiser from Suzuki. The Intruder has a polarising design but is still an attention magnet. Its USP is the low 740mm seat height that makes it accessible for shorter riders. It carries forward the naked Gixxer 150’s frame, so it handles quite well. Features include a full-digital instrument console from the Gixxer. Power comes from the same 155cc air-cooled motor as the Gixxer 150 that produces 14.8PS and 14Nm, which is 0.7PS more than the new faired bike. Consider the Intruder a good option if you want a bike with a low seat height or don't mind the attention.
Hero XPulse 200 Fi (Rs 1.05 lakh):
The Hero Xpulse 200 is a more powerful and capable descendant of the now discontinued Hero Impulse. This entry-level adventure bike gets some serious kit to take it further off-road. They include 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with dual-purpose tyres, long travel suspension, front beak, windscreen and a tail rack. Additionally, it also gets features like an LED headlamp, LED tail lamp and a full-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The 199.6cc air-cooled motor gets fuel injection and delivers 18.4PS and 17.1Nm of torque. For better off-road performance, the bike gets a short first gear and a shorter final drive ratio. The Hero XPulse 200 is by far the most affordable ADV you can buy in India.
