Suzuki Motorcycles launched the 2019 Gixxer SF and the Gixxer SF 250 in India priced at Rs 1.09 lakh and Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. A refreshing change comes in the form of an all-new look, however, the Japanese brands intends to take it a step further by offering seven optional accessories to go along with the Gixxer siblings.
The list comprises of tank graphics, a DC socket, smoked visor, rim tapes, tank protectors, seat covers and saddle bags. Also worth noting is the fact that these accessories are compatible with both the bikes since they share the same design language. Unfortunately, Suzuki hasn’t rolled out a price list for these accessories just yet.

To give you a quick rundown, both the Gixxer SF and the Gixxer SF 250 receive an all-new design for 2019. They feature new LED lights at both ends, a new instrument console, clip-on handlebars and a split seat for a sportier riding posture.
The 2019 Gixxer SF uses the same powerplant as the previous-gen Gixxer but produces 0.7PS (14.1PS) less power at 8,000rpm. The torque output, though, remains the same at 14Nm. As for the Gixxer SF 250, it gets a brand new 249cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC engine with a unique oil-cooling system. It’s capable of dishing out 26.5PS at 9,000 rpm and 22.6Nm at 7,500 rpm. The former comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the latter gets a 6-speed transmission.

In terms of competition, the Gixxer SF 150 competes against the Hero Xtreme 200S, while the Gixxer SF 250 goes up against the Yamaha Fazer 25 and the Honda CBR250R.
