The upcoming motorcycle might be offered in two variants
- The test mule has been spotted many times before.
- This time around it almost confirms some major mechanical changes.
- Royal Enfield might launch the motorcycle sooner than expected.
The 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spied a couple of times already, with some major updates. This includes everything from a complete mechanical overhaul to the addition of some modern-day features. Now, new spy images have emerged, further confirming a number of much-needed revisions.
We already had our suspicions that the upcoming bike might pack a bigger capacity engine. This fact is now almost confirmed, thanks to the new spy shots, which shows the engine head to be bigger than before. This could mean the capacity could grow from 346cc to around 400cc.
While earlier spy shots revealed that the motorcycle might skip on fuel injection, the new images, showcases a catalytic converter hidden under the belly. This indicates that Royal Enfield might offer the fuel injected bike as a different variant, alongside the carb model.
Additionally, the gearbox casing looks identical to the one seen on the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. This could mean we can see a 6-speed transmission system on the upcoming bike.
Considering the extent of changes we expect the motorcycle to be priced around Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). As far as when we’ll get to see it in flesh, a safe guess is sometime early next year. However, considering the frequency of these spy images, there is a possibility that the Chennai-based manufacturer might launch the bike during the festive season. We’ll be sure to bring all the updates leading up to the launch. Until then stay tuned!
