The price revision is down to two factors -- increased localisation and strengthening of the Rupee against the Dollar
Benelli India has revised the price of the 2021 Imperiale 400. The bike will now set you back by Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) -- a whole Rs 10,000 cheaper than before. More importantly, the price has been made uniform across all three colours: silver, red and black.
According to the brand, the lower price is owed to increased localisation and strengthening of the Rupee against the Dollar. And that’s about it. There’s no mechanical or cosmetic change on the Imperiale 400.
It continues to be powered by a BS6-compliant 374cc fuel-injected single-cylinder motor that makes 21PS and 29Nm using a 5-speed gearbox. Although Benelli did launch the cruiser as a limited edition model in Thailand which features smoked fly-screen and fork gaiters. Expect these accessories to be offered in India sometime in the future.
The Italian bike maker recently launched the BS6 TRK 502 in India which comes with several changes, from revised ergonomics and better features to a cleaner running engine. Read more about it here. This will soon be followed up with either new Benellis this year, which will comprise a mix of BS6 models and all-new launches ranging from the 600RR to the 502C cruiser.
