BMW has unveiled the 2021 F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure. The three motorcycles receive cosmetic and feature updates but continue to use the same powertrain and underpinnings. BMW did sell all three adventure bikes in India but they have been discontinued owing to BS6 emission norms.
The BMW adventure bikes get a revised LED headlamp, new turn indicators, new colours and an updated livery. The F750 GS comes in two colours: Light White and San Marino Blue Metallic. On the F 850 GS, you get Racing Red and Racing Blue Metallic (Rallye trim) colour options. The hardcore F 850 GS Adventure is available in Ice Grey and Kalamata metallic matt (Rallye trim) paint jobs. All three GS models are available in a new 40 Years GS Edition livery that gets a black and yellow finish with yellow knuckle guards and black/yellow seat.

Feature updates include a USB charging port close to the handlebars and instrument console. Rider aids like ABS Pro and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) are now also standard across the range. The F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure get adjustable windscreen and a colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity even on the standard variants.
The 853cc liquid-cooled powertrains remain untouched. Power outputs remain the same with the F 750 GS delivering 77PS and 83Nm while the F 850 GS and F 850 GSA deliver 95PS and 92Nm. All three bikes continue to use the same underpinnings as before. The optional Pro riding modes available on all three bikes get reworked throttle response in Dynamic mode. The new Pro riding mode includes upto four riding modes and now includes dynamic engine brake control and dynamic brake control.
The updated F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure will not come to India anytime soon due to their motors being Euro 4/BS4 compliant. We expect the updated Euro 5/BS6 bikes to come to India sometime next year. The BMW F 750 GS competes against the Triumph Tiger 900 GT while the F 850 GS goes up against the Tiger 900 Rally. The more hardcore F 850 GS Adventure will compete against the Tiger 900 Rally Pro.
