The new colour variant has been introduced in Thailand
The 2021 Yamaha XSR 155 has been launched with a new colour option in Thailand. The newly introduced Dark Grey joins the existing Black, Grey, and White-red 80s colour variants. All shades are priced the same at THB 91,500, around Rs 2.17 lakh.
The new Dark Grey is an all-grey colour scheme finished in matte. There’s a bold XSR 155 sticker in a contrasting cyan background on the fuel tank. Honestly, this logo looks a little out of place on an otherwise neat-looking colour scheme. Like the grey colour model, this one gets a tan ribbed seat, which looks premium. The rest of the motorcycle is unchanged, though.
The Yamaha XSR155 uses the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) as the Yamaha R15 V3.0. In the retro bike, this motor churns out 19.3PS at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm at 8500rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The underpinnings are pretty premium -- an inverted front fork, rear monoshock with aluminium swingarm, and disc brakes at both ends.
