A closer look at the latest iteration of the Pulsar NS160 that has recently arrived at the dealerships

For 2022, Bajaj has bestowed the Pulsar NS160 with a subtle update. The white colour variant of the bike now gets new black alloy wheels, apart from which it has stayed the same. It has already started reaching dealerships, so let's have a closer look at the motorcycle via a detailed image gallery.

Starting with the design, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 looks the part of a quintessential muscular streetfighter. The fascia of the bike mounts a small windscreen, an angular halogen headlight, twin pilotlights and bulb turn indicators.

The side profile of the updated model looks almost the same as it features '160' graphics on the fuel tank extensions, a 'Pulsar' badge on the fuel tank, an engine guard, split-type seat, a rear tyre hugger and red rim stickers on the wheels, and an underbelly pan. The only change that you'll notice is the black alloy wheels, replacing the white ones on the previous model. They look stealthy and offer a nice contrast to the white colour scheme on the bodywork. The bike gets a lean and sharp tail section that features split-type LED tail light and a sleek number plate holder with integrated indicators.

On the features front, the bike comes equipped with a 12-litre fuel tank, an analogue tachometer and a small digital dash with a fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, side stand indicator, clock and trip meter. For 2022, Bajaj should’ve updated the headlight with an LED unit, and should also have offered a semi-digital smartphone compatible instrument cluster to keep up with the modern competition.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is the same 160.3cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled engine that produces 17.2PS and 14.6Nm. This engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The ride of the bike is handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, it employs a 260-/230mm disc brake setup that is assisted by a single-channel ABS unit.

The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch wheels that come wrapped in tubeless tyres, having a 90-/section unit upfront and a 120-/section unit at the rear.

The white colour variant of the 2022 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 costs the same as before, at Rs 1,19,418 (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer and the Hero Xtreme 160R in the Indian market.
