The new version in Thailand comes with the same paint scheme as the Euro 5-compliant MT-03 which was unveiled globally in November 2021
Yamaha Thailand has launched the 2022 MT-03 Dark Blast edition in the Southeast Asian country at THB 196,500 (around Rs 4.26 lakh). This makes the naked bike THB 8,800 (around Rs 19,082) dearer than the 2021 model.
The 2022 Yamaha MT-03 Dark Blast edition’s colour scheme looks similar to one of the paint options the Euro-5 compliant MT-03 (unveiled globally in November 2021) is available with. The bike comes in two colour options: Gray and Black.

Compared to the 2021 iteration, the gray colour variant of the 2022 model comes in cyan-coloured wheels instead of the red ones. The Blue-Gray colour option in the 2021 bike has been replaced with an all-black one for 2022. Other than the visual changes, the motorcycle remains unchanged mechanically.
It continues to be powered by a 321cc, parallel twin, liquid-cooled heart churning out 42PS and 29.6Nm. Other notable features of the bike include an all-LED lighting system, dual-channel ABS, and a full-LCD instrument cluster. We wish Yamaha had equipped the 2022 model with a TFT console with smartphone connectivity, though.
Yamaha is not likely to launch the MT-03 in India any time soon. However, if you’re craving for a sub-400cc performance naked, then the KTM 390 Duke is the best bet for you. Other alternatives in the 300cc segment include the BMW G 310 R and the Honda CB300R.
