A detailed look at the top 5 highlights of the updated Bajaj Pulsar 125 which include the new instrument console and more
Bajaj Auto recently updated the Bajaj Pulsar 125 for 2024. It received some updates while most of the bike has remained unchanged. Here are the top 5 highlights of the updated bike:
Features
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar 125 gets a new LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts. The console shows the speedometer, odometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, clock, fuel gauge, gear position indicator, mileage and distance-to-empty readouts along with alerts for low fuel and ABS malfunction. It is the same console seen on the updated Bajaj Pulsar 150, Bajaj Pulsar N150 and the Bajaj Pulsar N160. The bike also gets a reworked switchgear on the left side of the handlebar and a new button to navigate through the console.
Design
The 2024 Pulsar 125 gets revised graphics on the tank, tail panel and the belly pan along with coloured stripes on the front fender and the alloy wheels. It also gets a carbon fiber-like finish on the front fender and side panels. Other than these changes, the rest of the design has remained unchanged and the Pulsar 125 retains the famous Pulsar styling, which is not necessarily a bad thing, something that we’re sure the original Pulsar fanboys/fangirls love.
Engine
There are no mechanical changes on the 2024 Pulsar 125 and it is still powered by the same 124.4cc, single-cylinder engine producing 11.8PS at 8500rpm and 10.8Nm at 6500rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Underpinnings
The Pulsar 125 gets a telescopic fork and twin gas-charged shock absorbers with preload adjustability, while braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake with CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard. The bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 11.5 litres and a ground clearance of 165mm while kerb weights of the split seat and the single seat variants are 142kg and 140kg respectively. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a 80-section tyre at the front and a 100-section rear tyre at the rear.
Price
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar 125’s single-seat variant is priced at Rs 93,221 while the split-seat variant is priced at Rs 98,221 (both ex-showroom Chhattisgarh), making it Rs 1,461 and Rs 4,083 respectively more expensive than before. The Neon Single Seat variant is priced at Rs 81,414 (ex-showroom New Delhi). Its rivals are the Honda Shine 125, Hero Glamour 125 and the Bajaj CT 125X.
