2024 KTM 390 Adventure Spied Again

It gets the same design as the test bike that was spotted a few months back. The new spy shots provide us with a closer look at the ADV

The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure has been spied testing in India once again. It gets the same design as the test bike that was spotted a few months back. The new spy shots provide us with a closer look at the ADV.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure Design:

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure comes with a beak-like front fender, a tall visor with a number plate mount and a cutout that works as an air vent. Now, the air vent is needed so that the tall visor does not block all the air. In a country like India where the weather is usually hot, good ventilation while riding also becomes important.

The upcoming 390 Adventure has a tall handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs that offer a comfortable and upright riding posture. It comes with a slim single-piece seat along with long and wide grab rails, which may also work as saddle bag mounts. It also has leg guards at the front. The bike has a slim tail section with a slim tail light. It also comes with a saree guard and features an underbelly exhaust instead of a long upswept exhaust, which might limit its off-road and water-wading capabilities.

Upcoming KTM 390 Adventure Instrument Console:

The 2024 KTM 390 Adventure is likely to feature the same 5-inch TFT with smartphone connectivity and navigation as the KTM Duke 390. The console is positioned more upright on the rally tower. It also gets an all-LED lighting setup. The bike may also get rider aids including a quickshifter, traction control and a Supermoto ABS mode.

Upcoming KTM 390 Adventure Engine & Underpinnings:

The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure is likely to be powered by the same 399cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the 2024 KTM 390 Duke. The 399cc engine on the Duke makes 46PS and 39Nm. However, expect the engine to be tuned differently to suit the ADV’s nature.

Built on a redesigned trellis frame with a new subframe, the bike gets a long-travel WP inverted fork and an offset monoshock. The complete details about the braking setup have not been revealed yet, but the rotors look different from the existing lightweight ones in the current Duke and RC range. Moreover, the bike rides on what looks like a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear spoke wheel, wrapped with block pattern tyres.

2024 KTM 390 Adventure Expected Price & Launch Date

The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure is expected to be priced at around Rs 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The ADV is likely to launch by late 2024 or early 2025. Ahead of its launch, it may also be showcased along with the KTM 390 Adventure R (Enduro) at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy.
