Now we have a good look at the bike’s colour schemes as well
We recently came across a spy shot of the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure R, without any camo at EICMA 2024. Now we have had a good look at the bike and what it has to offer, in terms of colours and design.
The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure R features a rally-bike inspired design. It gets a vertically stacked twin-LED projector headlight, with a LED DRL ring and a tall windshield. The bike also gets a rally-tower mounted instrument console and dakar-style bodywork.
The bike features a slim and sleek profile. The colour scheme on this bike is a white and orange colour scheme; it features a white finish on the body and orange highlights on the fender, knuckle guards and the frame. The bike also gets orange colour liveries which adds that unique KTM touch.
The bike will feature the same 398.63cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the third-gen KTM 390 Duke. On the Duke 390, the engine outputs 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. We expect the brand to make a few changes to the engine which will make it more suited to off-road riding such as the addition of a larger rear sprocket.
It gets a preload adjustable inverted fork and monoshock, with a wheel travel of 230mm. The bike rolls on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup with dual-purpose tyres. Compared to the other ADVs in the market, like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 which has a seat height of 825mm, the new Adventure 390 has a seat height of 885mm.
Features wise, the 390 Adventure gets the same TFT console as the 3rd gen 390 Duke. In terms of features, we expect the bike to get a lot of the same electronic riding aids including traction control, supermoto ABS, cornering ABS, and cruise control.
The bike is expected to be launched at around Rs 3.8 lakh ex-showroom and will go up against other ADV offerings in the 400cc segment such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The bike will be unveiled at EICMA 2024 soon and could be launched in India by early 2025.
