The KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing again and this time it was at the KTM USA Rally. The 390 Adventure has been undergoing some grueling tests to make sure KTM hits the adventure ball out of the park this time around. The spied model gets minimal camouflage and looks production ready which gives us an idea of how the bike would be.
In terms of design, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure gets Dakar-inspired faring along with a rally-tower mounted TFT screen from the 390 Duke and a tall visor. The vertically stacked dual LED projector headlights are surrounded by an LED DRL ring which gives the bike a menacing look. To complement the look, a high-mounted mudguard is attached just below the headlights and also features a 21-inch wire-spoked wheel at the front.
As you go towards the side, it seems the tank is made out of metal and is surrounded by plastic cladding. The tank extensions have a very distinct look to them which screams KTM. The seat is a single-piece unit and the silhouette is something that you would see in the Dakar rally.
From the rear, the LED tail light is integrated into the tail section and you can also spot split grab rails for the rear passenger.
Underneath all the bodywork, we expect the KTM 390 Adventure to carry the same frame as the 2024 390 Duke, but the subframe and swingarm are different units to better suit its adventure purposes. The suspension has longer travel than the previous iteration and by the looks of it, is compression and rebound adjustable. The rear too will get longer travel than before with preload adjustability.
As for the engine, it will gets the same 390 Duke’s motor which is a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which makes 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with a bi-directional quickshifter. For the 390 Adventure, KTM might change the sprocket sizes to suit the need for better low-end torques which is essential for offroad riding.
The feature list is expected to be comprised of switchable traction control, switchable ABS, riding modes, launch control, cornering ABS, etc.
The 2025 KTM Adventure is expected to be launched in India sometime early next year and priced around the Rs 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will go against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
