5 Things We Know About The Upcoming TVS Electric Scooter
- 376 Views
The upcoming scooter will be quite a departure from the iQube, TVS’ only electric scooter so far
TVS is all set to unveil a new electric scooter the day after tomorrow and we’re excited! But before that happens, let’s quickly run through five important things that we know about it:
It’ll Be Properly Sporty
The Creon concept was a properly sporty electric scooter; not only in the way it looked but also in terms of the kit it packed. And we expect the upcoming scooter to be the same. You see, TVS has put up a bunch of teasers of the scooter and they’ve revealed that this scooter will really get Creon-like headlight and sharp apron panels. If the production scooter looks even somewhat like the Creon, it’ll be quite a win for TVS.
It’ll Be Feature-packed
Along with its design, previous teasers have also given us an insight into what its instrument console could look like. The latest one showed us that it’ll get a multi-window display with multiple display themes, Bluetooth connectivity,, and a lot more. So in typical TVS fashion, features could be something the scooter will stand out in.
It Could be called the Entorq
It is highly possible that the new scooter could be named the eNTorq. TVS did file a trademark for the "ENTORQ" name back in 2017 and there’s no reason why it wouldn’t wanna captialise on the NTorq moniker, something that’s synonymous with scooters that are sporty and fun to ride. That way, TVS could also make up for not naming the iQube the E-Jupiter, given how both are reliable, family-oriented scooters.
Expected Price
We think TVS could price the upcoming scooter around the Rs 1.60 lakh mark (ex-showroom, including FAME 2 subsidies).
Rivals
The upcoming TVS scooter will go up against the likes of the Ather 450X and the Ola S1 Pro.
All in all, TVS never really had something that could directly rival the Ather 450X and the Ola S1 Pro, arguably two of India’s most premium sporty electric scooters. This is especially considering that we still have no idea where the iQube ST is. But the Creon is something that the brand had already showcased and now it seems like TVS is finally coming up with its production version.
