For the fans of vintage-Grand Prix motorcycles, a German firm has developed an amazing two-stroke machine, christened as Ronax 500. The bike will be manufactured on demand and is limited to 46 units. This is not the only special fact to own this bike, but another big one is the bike has been priced at €100,000, which values more than Rs. 80 lakh (according to current exchange rates). The price is exclusive of taxes, with which it can cost upto Rs 1 crore.

Ronax 500

Ronax 500 recieves a perfect carbon fibre body work, inspired by the GP bikes in late 1980s to early 1990s. The bike gets a full body fairing with a large, transparent wind screen and a small LED headlamp unit. Its fuel tank looks inspired by cafe-racer style, while seat and tail cowl looks like a proper GP machine.

Ronax 500 sports an all aluminium, 499cc, 2-stroke, 80 degree V-4 engine with two counter-rotating crank shafts. Powering the engine is advanced map-controlled fuel injection system with compatible cdi ignition, which gets two different mappings- sport and rain. One tuned steel exhaust pipe has been attached to the exhaust port of each engine cylinder. This much advancement in the 500cc engine results in a great power output, which is just around 20bhp lesser than a 1000cc, 4-stroke powered supersport bike. Mated with a 6-speed cassette gearbox, the engine belts out 160bhp of maximum power at 11,500rpm.

Apart from the old-age MotoGP style, Ronax 500 has been created on the base of advance engineering. Bolted on a CNC processed, aluminium bridge frame, the bike gets clip-on handlebars with fully adjustable steering head. It comes with advance Öhlins suspension system combining inverted telescopic forks at the front and horizontal mono-shock with aluminium swing-arm at the rear.

Using high traction racing tyres on forged aluminium wheels, Ronax 500 is perfect for modern tracks. Advance braking system is powered by Brembo, using dual 320mm discs with 4-piston monoblock calipers at the front and 210mm single disc with 2-piston caliper at the rear. The price tag is complementing the features and specification of the bike. So, lets see if the 46 units of the bike sells out as fast as it can roll.
