This year Akrapovi? leaves audience enthralled, spellbound breathless at the Bad Salzuflen Custombike Show held in Germany. This beauty is has been created by Akrapovi? in collaboration with Slovenian Dreamachine Motorcycles. This technical partnership earlier was responsible for creating the bewitching Morsus back in 2011.
Full Moon Concept follows the design lines of its predecessor, deriving its name from a huge aluminium and carbon 30 inch front wheel giving the impression of a full moon. Technicians took above 8 hundred hours to design and create this machine, which features an S&S Knucklehead 1,524 cc engine and two modified custom-made Akrapovi? exhausts. The chassis and bodywork are made entirely of sheet metal and they too form an extension to the exhausts.
The bodywork of the concept actually forms an integral part of the Akrapovi? exhaust system. In essence, the bike itself is a huge exhaust. Another highlight of the project is a composite braking disc, also unseen in this size on motorcycles until now. The automated steering system allows minimalist steering rod without any visible cables that would otherwise be required for the motorcycle to work.
No need to worry about an ugly side-stand, the Full Moon can also stand upright when parked, courtesy of its hydraulic suspension. The extremely technically advanced motorcycle is full of unique elements carefully chosen to make it look totally exclusive, and the shape hides completely new solutions used on a custom bike for the first time.
