Chinese bikemaker CFMoto has been grabbing all the headlines lately. Just a few days after the India launch of four new models, patents of its all-new 700cc parallel-twin motorcycle have now leaked online.

Starting with what we can see, the bike appears to sport a neo-retro design with its circular headlamp assembly and classic round rearview mirrors. It also appears to get a single-pod instrument console, wide handlebars and a single-piece seat.
You might’ve also noticed the ‘X’ markings all over the motorcycle. Reports suggest that it could be a part of a new product family, which means we might see multiple models under this nomenclature.

The patent images also reveal the “700” marking on the engine casing, shedding light on its cubic capacity. Considering the firm already has a range of 650cc offerings, we suspect this motor might be just a rebored version of it. For reference, the 650NK’s 649.3cc parallel-twin engine churns out 61PS of power and 56Nm of torque. Expect to see a slight increment over these numbers.

As far as its underpinnings are concerned, we could make out upside-down forks at the front and a rear monoshock unit. Braking hardware, meanwhile, consists of a single disc setup upfront, instead of the twin discs seen on its 650cc range. Although, the upcoming model does seem to get radial calipers instead of the axial ones seen on the 650s.
CFMoto will likely unveil the motorcycle at this year’s EICMA Motor Show in Milan. And yes, we do expect it to come to India sometime next year. Considering the brand’s track record so far, expect it to be priced competitively, at somewhere around Rs 5.5 lakh to 6.5 lakh.
