Hyderabad-based EV maker Atumobile has launched its first electric cafe racer style motorcycle, the AtumVader, which recently got its ARAI certification. But how does it fare against the Revolt RV400? Let’s compare the two through detailed images:
In terms of appearance, the Atumobile AtumVader adopts a retro-style cafe racer approach with rounded headlights, a curved ‘fuel tank’ and a single-piece seat. It gets minimal body panels which helps keep the weight in check at just 96kg (kerb). The battery pack is placed neatly right where the internal combustion engine (ICE) would be.
The Revolt RV400, on the other hand, takes on a more sporty approach. It gets an urban streetfighter styling with sharp body panels and edgy ‘fuel tank’ extensions. It looks compact, clean and properly futuristic, with a slightly diamond-shaped LED headlight with LED DRLs. To accentuate its sporty appeal, the e-bike gets a raised pillion seat and a slightly committed seating position.
The AtumVader is powered by a 1.5kW brushless BLDC hub motor producing 100Nm. The electric motor is paired to a 2.4kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 100km (at a speed of 35kmph) and a top speed of 65kmph. It takes around five to six hours to completely juice up the batteries.

Powering the Revolt RV400 is a 3kW motor paired to a swappable 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery. The e-bike claims a top speed of 85kmph and a range of 150km. Interestingly, at top speed, the RV400 can offer a claimed range of a stunning 80km. The battery takes about 4.5 hours to charge fully.
While the AtumVader features a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers, the RV400 gets premium hardware including a 37mm USD fork and monoshock which give it a sportier and more comfortable ride.
The AtumVader gets drum brakes on both ends, whereas the RV400 flaunts discs on both ends backed by a combined braking system. These come attached to 17-inch wheels on both e-bikes, with alloys on the RV400 and spoke rims on the AtumVader.
The AtumVader features a digital instrument cluster which displays speed, battery temperature, range, and battery percentage. It also gets regenerative braking and a 14-litre boot space.
The feature-packed RV400 comes packed with a fully digital LCD instrument cluster with 4G and app connectivity which shows onboard diagnostics and gets over-the-air updates. The app connectivity gives access to travel history, battery health, range and nearest swap station. For security, the e-bike also gets geofencing and keyless operation. It gets a small storage space on the faux fuel tank that is good for keeping a phone while charging. Apart from all that, the RV400 gets speakers that emit customisable engine sounds.
The Revolt RV400 retails at Rs 1,16,299 (ex-showroom Delhi, including subsidies), while the Atumobile AtumVader comes at an introductory price tag of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom).
