The Hyderabad-based brand claims 100km range and 65kmph top speed for its upcoming electric bike

Hyderabad-based EV maker Atumobile has received ARAI certification for the AtumVader, its upcoming cafe racer-style electric motorcycle.

The brand claims more than 90 percent of the AtumVader will be made from locally sourced parts. This is certainly reassuring as a lot of EVs in India today are mostly Chin-dian. The Vader will be produced at Atumoblie’s ‘Net Zero’ manufacturing facility located in Patancheru, Telangana.

The Vader has a hub motor powered by a 2.4kWh battery pack. Atumobile claims the Vader will offer a 100km range from a single charge and will have a top speed of 65kmph. While the expected price or launch date for the Atumvader are still under wraps, the company suggests the EV should hit the roads soon this year. The Atum 1.0 costs Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom), and expect the new AtumVader to cost somewhere around the rupees one lakh mark (ex-showroom).

However, if you are in the market for an electric motorcycle, have a look at the Revolt RV400.
