Here are the bikes that look to create waves in the month of August
Update: We have ridden the Leoncino 500. You can read the complete road test review here.
The wait for India’s first electric motorcycle grows longer as the launch of the Revolt RV400 has been delayed by a bit. We have come to know that it is most likely going on sale this very month. However, that is not the only two-wheeler that we will be introduced to in August. Here are the bikes that we expect to see in the coming weeks:
1. Revolt RV400
As we have already mentioned earlier, Revolt is aiming to launch the RV400 this month. Pre-bookings for the electric bike had already begun earlier in June. Customers in New Delhi and Pune could place an order for their RV400 for a token amount of Rs 1000. We will be having a go on the RV400 soon, so stick around on BikeDekho.com for more details on India’s first electric motorcycle.
2. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition
With the arrival of the Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition last month, we were told to await the launch of a similar MotoGP liveried version of the Gixxer SF 250 in August. Considering that it is just a colour update, the price hike could of just Rs 1000 from the base Gixxer SF 250 which carries a sticker price of Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
3. Benelli Leoncino 500
A teaser image on Benelli India’s social media page has left us to believe that the Italian bike maker will be launching the Leoncino 500 soon. The bike is powered by the same 500cc parallel-twin motor that is found on the TRK 502. Output figures of 47.5PS and 46Nm are likely to be the same. However, as this bike is more of an urban motorcycle, it should be a more peppier motorcycle than the TRK 502. We expect Benelli to price the bike at Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom India).
4. Bajaj Pulsar 125
There have been rumours of a small capacity Pulsar being introduced once again in the Indian motorcycling market. Bajaj Auto had the Pulsar 135 LS in its Indian portfolio earlier but it had to be discontinued as it didn’t meet the current legislation laws. Now though, it is likely that the Pulsar NS 125, which is sold in countries like Colombia could also be sold here. And this might be the month Bajaj could launch the baby Pulsar 125.
5. Suzuki Gixxer 250
A naked version of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 was already in the works. This month is most likely to see the launch of the larger capacity naked Gixxer motorcycle. Styling is likely to remain the same as the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer with similar colours as the SF 250 to be found on the new bike too. Suzuki could be pricing the Gixxer 250 at Rs 1.55 lakh, making it Rs 15,000 more affordable than the full-faired option.
