Bajaj Auto posts 22.18 per cent sales growth

Bajaj Auto, India's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer has recorded 22.18 per cent sales growth in the month of February this year. The company has sold 2,86,657 units of the two-wheelers in the this month as compared to 2,34,623 units in the same month of previous year. As previous months and year, its two flagship bike models; Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover got good response as well Bajaj Platina.
Bajaj Auto also exports its two-wheelers and the export of the company grew by 31.93 per cent with the sales units of 1,02,433 in the month of February this year as against 77,652 units in the same month of previous year.
The company is doing well in the three-wheeler and it reported the 18.40 per cent growth with the sales of 40,217 units in the month of February 2011 as against 33,968 units in the same month of year 2010.
Bajaj Auto's cumulative vehicles sales rose with 21.66 with sales of 3,26,874 units as compared to 2,68,678 units in the month of February last year.
Bajaj Auto wants to cover the space being void after parting away of Hero and Honda. In view to do that, it has decided to bring the new Bajaj Pulsar 250cc as against Honda CBR 250R. Meanwhile the company is mulling over to re-launch its previous flagship bike model Bajaj Boxer with 110cc engine which will be major competitor of Hero Honda Splendor, Hero Honda Passion, Honda Twister and Yamaha YBR 110cc.
