Bajaj Auto reports 18 per cent growth in Jan

Bajaj Auto, the country's second largest two-wheeler manufacturer and pride owner of Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover, has recorded 18 per cent sales growth in the month of the January this year. The Pulsar and Discover pumped the surprising growth at the start of year 2011.
As per company statement, the company has sold out 3,13,583 units in the month of January 2011 including 68 per cent growth of Bajaj Pulsar and Discover Discover. The total sale of Bajaj two wheelers were 2,66,018 units in the month of January 2010.
The total 2,75,622 units of Bajaj bikes has been sold out in January 2011 which is 18 per cent more than total sale of 2,32,939 units of the bike in January 2010. The company is reported the good growth in the start of this year and now it has targeted to become market leader in two-wheeler market of India.
Bajaj Auto begs the 15 per cent sales growth in commercial vehicles with total sales units of 37,961 in January, 2011 as compared to 32,969 in the month of January, 2010.
The company has also done well in export market and registered 44 per cent growth with total sold units of 1,03,526 in overseas markets in January, 2011 V/S 71,695 units in January, 2010. The cumulative sales growth of the company is 38 per cent with total sold units of 3,189,339 between April to January 2011 as compared to 2,309,625 units in the same period of last year.
Bajaj Auto portfolio includes Bajaj XCD, Bajaj Platina, Bajaj Avenger, Bajal Pulsar and Bajaj Discover. The company is going to launch Bajaj Pulsar 250cc very soon while Bajaj Blade and Bajaj Sonic are also in pipeline. In addition, the company is reported to re-launch its former popular bike Bajaj Boxer with big engine and new body design in April this year.
