Bajaj Auto reports 20 per cent sales growth in FY 11

Bajaj Auto, the pride owner of Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover, reported 21.7 per cent growth with selling of 326,874 units in the month of February this year against same month of previous year. Now the company hops that in the starting of April its growth to rise rise 20 per cent.

After Separation of Hero and Honda, Bajaj bikes are recording unexpected growth in particular Discover and Pulsar. Both the bike models are getting buzz response and beating Honda, Hero Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki bikes. Its Bajaj Pulsar model is available in four variants like Bajaj Pulsar 135, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Bajaj Pulsar 180 and Bajaj Pulsar 220. While its commuter Bajaj Platina which is available in two variants like 100cc and 125cc is also doing well against Hero Honda CD Deluxe and Hero Honda CD Dawn.

 
The Bajaj Pulsar 135 is also selling out in overseas markets and first choice of the youths at there. The bike competes with Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme. Meanwhile the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is major competitor of Hero Honda Hunk, Honda Unicorn and Yamaha FZs. But Baja pulsar 180 cc only competes with TVS Apache 180. Bajaj Pulsar 220 is the high-end variant which is an answer to Hero Honda Karizma.
 

On the other hand, Bajaj Discover which is Bajaj's largest selling bike model that comes in 100cc, 150cc variants. This Discover model is known for impressive fuel efficiency, very well performance and competitor price range. Bajaj Discover competes with Hero Honda Splendor, Hero Honda Passion pro, Honda Shine, Suzuki Slingshot and Yamaha YBR 125.
 

To pump the sale of Bajaj bikes, the company has recently included a 125cc variant of Bajaj Discover which has innovative features, very well body design and impressive graphics combined appearance. This new bike is available with priced tag of Rs. 45,500 at ex-showroom Delhi. So Bajaj Auto expects more growth in the month of April this year.
