Bajaj Auto sales grow by 17 per in April

Bajaj Auto, the country's second largest two wheeler maker, reported 16.71 per growth in overall segment with sales of 3,22,235 units in the month of April this year. The company sold 2,76,095 units of two wheelers in the market as compared to same of month year 2010, as per Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) statement.

 

 


 

 

Meanwhile Bajaj Auto reported 39.08 per cent growth with sales of 1,58,422 units of Bajaj Bikes in last month as compared to 1,13,911 units in the same month of previous year. As it is known that Bajaj Pulsar 135, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Bajaj Pulsar 220, Bajaj Discover 150 and Bajaj Discover 100cc are popular Baja bikes in India which are providing new highest to the company.
 


On the other hand the company is also doing well in the three wheeler segment and sold 45,074 units in April which is 20.68 per cent that is more than 37,350 units of sales in the same month last year. If we talk about cumulative sales of one year, Bajaj Auto sold out 3,67,309 units compared to 3,13,472 units in the corresponding period. The company reported 17.17 per cent sales growth in this period which shows its good growth in the market.
 


Presently Bajaj Auto is in competition with Hero Honda hence it has recently included new Bajaj Discover 125 cc in its portfolio which is very fuel efficient and value for money bike in the segment. It has also been reported that the company is going to re-launch its old horse Bajaj Boxer in India with enhanced motor of 125cc.
 


Remember that we have already reported that Bajaj Auto is working on new platform based bikes therefore its upcoming bike would be engaged with new technology and different body design than older ones. As per some rumours doing round in the air, the company is producing next generation Bajaj Pulsar that would have 250cc to 300cc power engine which will an answer to recently launched Honda CBR 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and upcoming Mahindra Mojo 300cc.
