Bajaj Auto, the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country has recently revealed its sales numbers for the month of August 2015. As per the statistics, the Pune-based manufacturer marketed a total of 3,41,965 vehicles that includes both, commercial vehicles as well as motorcycles. Going into individual data, the two-wheeler section saw 2,90,436 unit sales previous month in comparison to 2,84,302 unit sales in August ‘14, registering a two percent growth over last year.

On the other hand, the commercial vehicle category witnessed sales of 51,529 units as compared to 52,538 unit sales last year in August. The company had to face a two percent decline in this. Talking about the exports, 1,81,658 units were being shipped to other countries in August ‘15, while 1,75,127 units were exported during the same period last year. This turns out to be a four percent hike and the highest export figures ever. Summing up the data, the manufacturer registered a total of two percent growth as compared to August last year.

Bajaj Auto recently launched adventure duo of its most popular model christened as Pulsar AS 200 and AS 150. Earlier, the company introduced Pulsar RS 200 that has been built purely on racing bike platform. The manufacturer discontinued Pulsar NS 200 few weeks back due to a mere difference of Rs. 3, with the AS twins. Hence, Bajaj didn’t liked the idea of continuing with the NS that was not showing the expected sales either. As per recent reports, Bajaj might be bringing a new commuter brand to the country in near future that will further help it expand its empire in the Indian two-wheeler market.
