Bajaj Auto to increase Pulsar production

Bajaj Auto India's second largest and worlds fourth largest two wheeler manufacturer is now planning to increase the production of its most popular model Bajaj Pulsar in India. Company is aiming to achieve manufacturing capacity of 90,000 units per month in coming 6 months. Besides this the company is planning to achieve the sales target of 1 million units per Annam by the Financial year 2011. "We are witnessing a resurgence of sales in Pulsar. From a low of 25 , 000 units sales per month last year , sales have now shot up to 45,000 units per month, " said S Sridhar, CEO of Bajaj Auto.Company sold about 3.36 lakh units in financial year 2009 and it is targeting the figure of 6 lakh units in FY 2010. Besides Bajaj Pulsar some entry level Bikes of Bajaj Auto like recently launched Bajaj Discover are receiving good sale figures and it is expected that the company will launch some new bikes in this segment in coming months.
