Bajaj Boxer to come in April

Bajaj Auto, the countries second largest two-wheeler maker which is known for its flagship bike models such as Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover, is going to relaunch it's entry-level Bajaj Boxer bike in April this year. Bajaj Boxer was the basic model by the company which was phase out in the year 2007 and Bajaj Platina got the place of this bike.
Bajaj Platina, at present, is available with 100cc and 125cc engine and competes with Hero Honda CD Dawn which is the former's entry-level bike model. Now Bajaj Auto wants to take on Hero Honda in the entry-level segment again. This time the new Bajaj Boxer will come with 125cc engine and will be priced less than Hero Honda Splendor series bikes.
At present, Bajaj Auto has 27 percent stake in Indian two wheeler market and targeted to outplay Hero Honda. Bajaj also tied up with Austrian bike maker KTM and going to launch Off-road bikes in the country that may be KTM Duke 125cc or KTM Duke 200cc. The company has 38 percent stake in KTM.
Hero Honda CD Dawn, TVS Start City, Bajaj Platina, Honda CB Twister are the most popular and entry-level bikes in India. After split between Hero and Honda, all the major two-wheeler makers of India want to grab the market and doing something new such as Honda has announced the Honda CBR 250R. And planning to launch six new bikes in India by the end 2011. Apart from that TVS Apache RTR 180 is also slated to launch with ABS and Bajaj Pulsar 250 or 300cc is in pipeline.
