The pune based bike maker- Bajaj Auto has relaunched its popular CT 100 commuter motorcycle with some new features and specifications. Dimensionally, the new model looks almost similar to the older one, however, it has been restyled with new graphics. The bike has been priced around Rs. 36,000 (ex, showroom) and costs around Rs. 40,200 (on-road, Jaipur).
Propelling the updated Bajaj CT 100 is a 99.27cc engine with ExhausTEC, which comes mated to a 4-speed all down-shift gearbox via a wet multi-plate clutch assembly. Using a carburetor type fuel system, the engine makes power upto 8.1bhp at 7,500rpm and delivers torque upto 8.05Nm at 5,000rpm.
Bolted on a single downtube frame, the new Bajaj CT 100 comes with telescopic front forks and hydraulic coaxial Spring in Suspension (SNS). The bike runs on 17”, 5-spoke alloys, which comes with 2.75” wide front and 3.00” wide rear tyre. Both of the wheels come equipped with a 110mm drum brake unit.
The 2015 Bajaj CT 100 competes with the other entry-level commuters available in the market like Hero HF-Dawn and TVS Sport. However, CT 100 is the most affordable than any other offering in the competition.
