You get a bunch of options ranging from scooters to commuters and even an EV
Bajaj has launched the CT 125X at Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most affordable 125cc bike currently on sale in India. That said, if you still aren’t impressed with the CT 125X, you can opt for the following similarly priced alternatives.
Hero Super Splendor (Rs 77,500)
The Bajaj CT 125X’ primary rival, the Hero Super Splendor, will be the most favoured alternative if you have Rs 6000 more to spare. The Super Splendor makes for a perfect no-nonsense 125cc motorcycle with a classy design and a frugal engine. It also packs Hero’s i3S technology, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a side stand engine cut-off. The Super Splendor also gets a front disc brake option.
TVS Jupiter (Rs 69,571)
If you are looking for a more easy-going everyday commuter, then you can’t go wrong with a scooter, especially one with a 64kmpl mileage figure. The TVS Jupiter variants range from Rs 69,000 to Rs 80,316 and offer a variety of features and hardware, ranging from a disc brake to Bluetooth connectivity.

Hero Electric Optima Dual battery (Rs 77,490)
If you are looking for a greener alternative, well, you won’t find a lot of options at this price point, save for the Hero Electric Optima. Now, though it’s Rs 6000 costlier, you will save a lot more in terms of fuel and running expenses. Besides, the claimed top speed of 45kmph makes enough sense for most city commutes, and of course, the claimed range of 140km means you’ll usually need to top it up just once a week.
Honda Dio Sports DLX (Rs 73,317)
If a sporty and funky looking scooter is what you want, then the Honda Dio, the OG Indian sporty scooter, is the perfect alternative for you. Now, though it may not be the most feature-packed scoot out there, the practicality and comfort it provides, along with the reliability usually associated with a Honda. And along with all this, it’s still got the looks that can turn heads.
Hero Destini 125 LX (Rs 75,800)
The Hero Destini 125 is the most powerful scooter on this list with a 125cc engine, and comes packed with an array of features like Bluetooth connectivity, an LED headlight and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
