It could be more powerful than the current XPulse & also offer a lot more features!
Hero MotoCorp is planning on unveiling 4 new models at EICMA 2024, and we believe the Hero XPulse 210 will be one of them. This upcoming ADV will be the successor to the currently available Hero XPulse 200 4v and will feature a lot of changes. Here’s what we expect from this bike.
In terms of design and looks, the Hero XPulse 210 has an aggressive ADV-style design. At the front, it gets a raised beak-like fender that we associate with off-road bikes. Compared to the outgoing XPulse 200 4V, the bike also feels a bit larger, with its bigger tank and extensions. The XPulse 210 also comes with a highly upswept exhaust, similar to what is offered on the current XPulse. But the main difference is the sleeker profile of the exhaust end.
In terms of performance, the XPulse 210 will be a more powerful bike than the current-gen XPulse 200 4V. This comes down to the new 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which the bike will get. This engine is the same one as used on the Hero Karizma XMR, it outputs 25.5PS and 20.4Nm.
The current gen Hero XPulse 200 4v for perspective is powered by a 199.6cc, air and oil cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 19.1PS and 17.35Nm. The upcoming Xpulse will offer a power increase of 6.4PS and 3.05Nm, which is a good bump in performance. We also expect Hero to make a few changes, such as the addition of a larger rear sprocket to make it suited for offroad riding.
Lastly, coming to the features. The bike is expected to get the same digital instrument console as the Hero Karizma XMR. The console offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Other than that, we expect the bike to come with switchable ABS at the rear, which will allow for controlled slides and make the bike more off-road friendly.
The XPulse 210 would likely come at an ex-showroom price that is around Rs 1.90 lakh, and could come to India by early 2025. The bike will go up against other ADV offerings in the market such as the Suzuki VStrom SX and the KTM 250 Adventure.
