- Aside from the inclusion of CBS, the bike remains unchanged.
The Bajaj CT100 has been launched with CBS (Combined Braking System) in India. The bike is available in two variants - electric start with alloy priced at Rs 41,971 and kick start with alloy, which retails at Rs 36,320 (ex-showroom, Pune). That’s a price hike of Rs 704 and a smidge over Rs 1,000 over the outgoing models. It’s offered in three colour options - black with blue decals, black with red decals and red. That said, the CT100 is also available in a kick start variant with spoked wheels. However, there’s no information on its price as for now.
Apart from the inclusion of CBS, the CT100 remains unchanged. It goes up against the TVS Sport and the Hero HF Deluxe in terms of competition. The Chakan-based two-wheeler manufacturer has been working hard towards equipping its entire fleet of bikes with either CBS or ABS in order to comply with new safety norms. However, the Platina 100ES and V12 are yet to be updated with CBS, while the V15 and Pulsar 150 haven’t been equipped with ABS either.
The Bajaj CT100 is available in two engine specifications - the first is a 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor available only with the electric start variant. It makes 7.7PS at 7500rpm and 8.24Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The second is 99.27cc, single-cylinder engine that generates 8.2PS at 7500rpm and 8.05Nm at 4500rpm. Both come mated to a 4-speed transmission.
