This marks the end of 100cc bikes in Bajaj CT’s lineup
Dealership sources have confirmed that the popular CT100 has been pulled off the shelf in India. Bajaj had pulled the plug on the affordable commuter back in April itself. This implies that the only model on offer in the CT series now is the rugged-looking Bajaj CT110X, which was launched in April 2021.
Powered by a 102cc single cylinder engine that churned out 7.9 PS and 8.3 Nm, the CT100 was last priced at Rs 52,832 (ex-showroom Delhi). It was one of the most affordable 100cc bikes to buy and maintain, and hence was well perceived by the masses. This workhorse featured a frugal motor and weighed only 108 kg, which made it capable of delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 89.5 kmpl.
Currently the only bike in the CT series on sale from Bajaj is the CT110X, which is powered by a 115cc single cylinder engine developing 8.6 PS and 9.8 Nm. Priced at Rs 65,463 (ex-showroom Delhi), its closest rival is the TVS Radeon (Rs 67,761), which comes with a similar design language. Other notable rivals include the Honda CD110 Dream (Rs 69,251) and Hero Splendor Plus (Rs 69,430).
In a related development, Hero recently launched the new Splendor Plus Xtec with tons of modern upgrades. You can check out this story here.
