Bajaj Auto is facing problems while fulfilling the demands of Pulsar RS 200 and AS 200 for which it has decided to halt the production of 200NS. The manufacturer has recently filled all the counters of bike segment with the new Pulsar models, which has led to the over flow of demand that company is unable to meet with its current production capabilities.
It has been two months since the 200NS is out of production and according to the company, it is a temporary halt until the production shortage problem is resolved. The introduction of full fairing Pulsar RS 200 ignited the fire among the young generation and hence, boosted the demand. On the other hand, in the same price of NS200, Bajaj offers AS 200 with projector headlamps and semi-fairing that simply increases its chances of selling more.
Both 200 NS and AS 200 share the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and produces a maximum power of 23.2bhp with peak torque of 18.3Nm. The price difference of mere Rs. 3 makes AS a much better option than NS and is enough to be a reason to produce new models instead of 3 year of 200NS. However, there is no information on restarting NS’ production.
