The second highest manufacturer of two wheelers in India, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has declared that it has planned to launch new models of the Pulsar series with better power. Along with the powerful Pulsars they intend to the KTM series bikes as well, which is the product of an Austrian motorbike producer, in order to pose tough competition for companies like Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha.
The two bikes which are expected to be launched soon are proposed to lie in the 200cc to 700cc range segment. They are also strongly believed to give a steady rise to the already existing firm hold of Bajaj Auto ltd on the motorbike market of the country. As stated by the MD of Bajaj Auto Ltd., Mr Rajiv Bajaj, the company has a manufacturing and development method that is very similar in approach similar to KTM and hence there are strong chances of the launch of a bigger and better Pulsar next year because the demand in the two wheeler market is at an all time high and the company is in a reasonably fine state to gain benefits through the two brands.
They are marketing their Pulsar series of motorbikes as an economic solution for the segment of buyers who desire good performance at a reasonable price. Contrary to this the KTM is being presented as the stylish segment of motorcycles. The KTM Duke 200, priced at Rs. 1.16 lakhs, and the Pulsar 200 NS, whose cost is not declared yet, were launched in the country a short time back. During the launch Mr. Bajaj announced the plan of releasing the new 350cc pulsar in 2013. Same was the case during the launching of KTM Duke 200. Because of the increasing trend of displacement motorbikes being introduced in the country, the motorbike market in India is surely heading towards a boom in the times to come.
