The home grown company Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) seems to having some more plans for the 2014, apart from its awaited flagship bike Pulsar 375. Recently, two test mules resembling to the Pulsar 200NS have been spotted on the NH4 near Mahabaleshwar, which were boasting an aircooled engine like Pulsar 150 and 180. That confirms, the bikes were not 200NS, which has a liquid cooled power-train. Both the bikes were looking similar from the front, while rear of both the bikes were different from each other.
The bike sporting the rear similar to naked sport Pulsar might be the 180NS, while the other one with the rear resembling to the 150 and 180cc Pulsars might be the 150NS. The aggressive head lamp, handle bar, fuel tank and cowling on the test mules were looking almost similar to the 200NS, however both were having a regular dual stage type seat instead of a split type.
Pulsar 150NS is expected to be powered by the similar 150cc, aircooled engine, which powers the exixting one. Mated with a 5-speed gearbox, the engine is capable to churn out a maximum power of 14.8bhp and a peak torque of 12.5Nm. However, the company might retune the engine for different numbers of power output. Pulsar 180NS might also get the existing 180cc, aircooled DTS-i engine with a little modification. The existing engine churns out 16.8bhp of maximum power and 14.22Nm of the peak torque.
The bikes might be showcased at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo, however they are expected to be launched by the end of 2014.
