We have already reported that the Bajaj is working on a fuel injected version of the Pulsar 200NS. When the other portals are saying that the company is testing Pulsar 200SS with the 200NS, we were claiming that the naked test mules are FI version of the bike, which might also get ABS as optional equipment.
Now, an Indonesian auto website- Iwanbanaran also claiming the same. They are saying that the company will launch this new version only in the Indonesian market to overcome the poor sales of the model in respective market, while India doesn't need that due to satisfactory sales figure. However, we strongly believe that Bajaj will launch this product in the Home country as well.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS FI will look identical to the existing variant and sport the same 199.5cc, liquid cooled mill with an advanced fuel injection train replacing the conventional carburetor from the bike. The new technology will help it to improve the fuel economy along with better performance, to match-up with the powerfigures of its direct rival- KTM Duke 200. The current version of the bike churns out 23.2bhp, which is expected to be around 25bhp using FI.
The new version will cost around Rs. 10,000 extra for the FI technology, while the ABS will add arround Rs. 10,000 more to it.
